Job Description

Deliver exceptional post-anesthesia care as an experienced RN and vital team member in a dynamic perioperative environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for nurses eager to practice at the highest standard, collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, individualized, evidence-based care for patients and their families throughout the surgical process.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based assignment (details provided during interview process)

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Current active RN license in Georgia, meeting all state requirements
  • 1+ year of recent PACU or post-anesthesia clinical experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification a plus
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practice, including monitoring and assessment of post-surgical patients
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care while honoring patient autonomy and organizational values
  • Commitment to upholding the professional standards and ethics outlined in the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Code of Ethics of the American Nurses Association

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor post-anesthesia patients, ensuring safe recovery and rapid intervention for complications
  • Provide individualized patient and family education, actively supporting the voice of the patient
  • Implement physician orders and clinical protocols while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Document patient status and care accurately and efficiently according to facility policies
  • Advocate for service excellence in every interaction, maintaining compliance with system standards and procedures
