Schedule/Hours:
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shifts: MondayFriday, 12:00 PM8:30 PM; variable/flexible schedule
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Additional call and weekend details discussed during interview
Qualifications:
- Current and active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- 2+ years of recent hospital/travel nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong Pre-op and Phase II surgical discharge background
- PACU and IV skills preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, compassionate care in Pre-Op, Short Stay (Phase II), and Day Surgery settings
- Maintain a patient focus with 1:1 and 3:1 ratios depending on phase
- Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCAs, and phlebotomists
- Float within unit as needed (per policy)
- Participate in pain block procedures and ensure meticulous documentation
