As a PACU RN in this setting, youll be part of a recovery room team dedicated to exceptional patient care, working with the latest technology in a busy 30-bed unit. The unit values collaborative practice, fosters strong leadership at every shift, and welcomes open input from team members, ensuring youll be exposed to a variety of workplace practices and leadership approaches. This role also provides you with the perfect platform to further diversify your nursing background, gaining experience with a wide range of post-op procedures, from craniotomies to orthopedics, and building your resume with unique cases.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- On-call required (30-minute response time)
Desired Qualifications:
- Unrestricted RN license with at least 1 year of recent acute care PACU experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- Ability to manage 1:2 and 1:1 patient ratios effectively
- Flexible with hours and on-call coverage
- Meditech EMR proficiency highly preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert post-anesthesia nursing care with a compassionate, patient-first approach
- Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses and RNs
- Respond calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Adapt to on-call requirements and flexible scheduling
