This assignment offers valuable experience in a Pre-Op setting, perfect for an RN looking to broaden their clinical skillset. Youll work in a dedicated unit with 9 Pre-Op beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds, alongside a supportive team using the latest technologiesincluding Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machines, and Meditech EMR. Its an excellent way to expand your resume, learn new workplace practices, and experience different leadership approaches.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5A - 5P
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least 1 year of acute care Pre-Op hospital experience
- BLS & ACLS certifications required
- Preferred: prior experience in pre-op, Meditech, and outpatient procedures
Responsibilities:
- Care for pre-op surgery, endoscopy, Cath lab, and EP patients
- Perform phase 2 recovery for urology, GYN, and same-day surgery patients
- Assist with outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3
- Communicate effectively with staff and providers to prioritize patient experience
- Participate in on-call rotations with a 30-minute response time
