Job Description
Deliver expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery as an integral part of a respected perioperative team. Qualifications:
- Current, active Georgia RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- At least 1 year of RN experience in PACU, critical care, or relevant acute care settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated knowledge of post-anesthesia clinical practices and recovery protocols
- Strong communication skills with ability to work strategically within interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and the Nurse Practice Act
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and vital signs throughout post-anesthesia recovery
- Provide timely interventions for pain, airway management, and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and support staff to develop and implement evidence-based care plans
- Deliver patient and family education regarding post-operative expectations, care instructions, and discharge planning
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards, while championing exemplary patient safety and satisfaction
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, continuous process improvement, and professional development initiatives
