Schedule / Hours:
- 40 weekly hours
- On Call: Four 12-hour shifts per six-week period
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Work any holiday that coincides with your scheduled shifts
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Prior PACU experience strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort
- Assess and document patient status, intervening as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations
- Adhere to clinical protocols while contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives
