As a valued member of an interdisciplinary care team, the Registered Nurse in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will play a pivotal role in delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. This position requires expert clinical skills, compassion, and a dedication to the well-being of patients, families, and their significant others during the critical perioperative period. The nurse will be actively engaged in a collaborative environment led by Nurse Managers and supported by advanced professional practice models and evidence-based standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Georgia.
• Proven experience in PACU or perioperative nursing.
• In-depth knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
• Adherence to the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics as established by the American Nurses Association.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously within an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to supporting patient-centered goals and service excellence standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Monitor and assess patient status, implementing rapid interventions as needed for recovery and stabilization.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, providing updates and education.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in line with system policies and procedures.
• Uphold organizational standards for safety, quality, and excellence in every patient encounter.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, shared governance initiatives, and nursing research applications.
