Schedule:
- Travel contract assignment
- One weekend on-call per assignment, and one on-call night each week
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of one year experience in PACU nursing required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical setting
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures
- Monitor and assess patient vitals, manage pain, and respond quickly to emergent situations
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions between surgical, PACU, and inpatient units
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols
