This travel opportunity places you in a progressive cardiac care environment, caring for diverse medical, cardiac, pre- and post-CV surgery, arrhythmia, heart failure, and stroke overflow patients in a modern 28-bed unit. With a patient ratio of 1:4-5, youll build broad clinical expertise while working alongside esteemed healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to a variety of advanced workplace approaches and leadership styles. This is a valuable step for expanding your nursing resume and professional skillset.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state eligibility required)
- Minimum of one year recent PACU or progressive cardiac care experience preferred
- ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience with high-acuity, multisystem patients a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced, post-anesthesia and progressive cardiac care setting
- Monitor and respond to acute changes in cardiac and neurological status
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated, excellent patient care
- Participate in patient education and support for families
- Adhere to facility protocols and high standards for clinical practice
