Deliver advanced perioperative care as a Registered Nurse within a high-performing, patient-centered healthcare setting. As an RN-PACU professional, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, championing patient safety, recovery, and satisfaction throughout the perioperative process. This contract opportunity places you at the forefront of post-anesthesia care, collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, and other care providers to deliver individualized, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients in the PACU following surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable recovery from anesthesia.
- Document patient status, vital signs, and interventions, utilizing electronic health records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and pain management as prescribed, monitoring patient response and communicating changes to the healthcare team.
- Coordinate discharge readiness and patient education, involving families and significant others as appropriate.
- Uphold system policies, ANA Code of Ethics, and serve as an advocate for patient preferences and needs at every stage.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state of Georgia.
- Clinical experience in PACU or perioperative settings preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to function collaboratively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth.
