At this facility, youll gain substantial hands-on experience in the Pre-Op Holding/ASU unit, collaborating with skilled RNs and exposure to a broad mix of surgical specialties. The unit boasts state-of-the-art technology including Pyxis medication systems, GE MACVU EKG machines, Doppler, and more, helping you stay on the leading edge of patient care.

Schedule / Hours:

• 5A - 5P (12-hour shifts)
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time from facility location

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Phase 2 recovery experience is required
• Pre-op experience or willingness to assist pre-op staff is preferred
• Experience with procedures such as urology, GYN, same day surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, CT, outpatient infusions, EKGs, blocks, and transfusions is valuable
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional care for patients in pre-op and phase 2 recovery units
• Monitor patient progress, administer required medications, and respond promptly to evolving needs
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient transitions and positive outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all unit policies and protocols
