Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or post-anesthesia nursing experience
• Proficient in monitoring and assessing patient recovery following surgical procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
• Strong ability to respond to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible shift scheduling based on facility needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients post-surgery for vital sign stability and signs of complications
• Provide comfort, reassurance, and clear communication to patients and families
• Administer medications, including pain management per physician orders
• Uphold aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to post-operative complications or emergencies
