Job Description

A Registered Nurse with Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) expertise is needed for a contract opportunity in Boston, MA. This role requires delivering specialized nursing care in the immediate postoperative period, ensuring patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • 50% day/night rotation
  • Up to 2 weekend shifts per month

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 1 year of experience in Travel PACU nursing
  • 1+ year of experience in an Academic Medical Center setting

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality PACU nursing care to post-surgical patients
  • Monitor patient vital signs, manage pain, and identify any complications during recovery
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with all team members
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
