Job Description

Deliver exceptional care and patient advocacy as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This contract opportunity places you at the heart of surgical recovery, ensuring patients and their families experience safe and personalized care within a collaborative clinical environment. You will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, guided by shared governance and professional practice standards, to optimize outcomes and support service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, responding promptly to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and support vital functions per evidence-based protocols
  • Provide individualized, patient-centered care, maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Uphold clinical excellence through adherence to hospital policies, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in real time
  • Actively participate in continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific shift details to be discussed during the interview process

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum of one year experience in PACU or other acute care settings preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in perioperative and post-anesthesia nursing concepts
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
