Job Description

Step into a vital role within a dynamic perioperative care environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care (PACU). You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering individualized and exceptional patient care. Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license in the state of Georgia, in good standing
  • Minimum of one year recent clinical RN experience, preferably in PACU or critical care settings
  • Thorough understanding of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANAs Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues, patients, and families
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and patient advocacy skills
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care, monitoring patients recovery from anesthesia and responding promptly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and ancillary staff to deliver optimal care
  • Adhere to established protocols, professional standards, and organizational policies to ensure safety and quality outcomes
  • Support patients and families by explaining procedures, offering comfort measures, and encouraging personal involvement in recovery
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
