Exciting opportunities are available for skilled RNs specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing. In this contract role, you will play a pivotal part in providing safe, effective care to patients in the perioperative environment. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team and contribute your expertise to support patient recovery following surgical procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with variable shifts determined by department needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in PACU or perioperative nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Dedication to upholding high Standards of Nursing Practice and ethical conduct

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care to patients in the PACU, actively monitoring conditions pre- and post-surgery
• Coordinate, manage, and delegate patient care, ensuring compliance with established policies and high quality standards
• Assist primary operating surgeons with perioperative care in accordance with the expanded RN First Assistant (RNFA) scope
• Maintain documentation and adhere to facility policies, procedures, and Tenet Standards of Conduct
• Demonstrate leadership and promote effective cooperation among the healthcare team
• Provide guidance and support to team members as needed
