Professionally, this position offers exceptional opportunities to expand your nursing expertise in a renowned PACU setting. Exposure to a variety of acute and surgical cases, including trauma, pediatrics, and advanced cardiovascular interventions, ensures youll be learning from the best in the field. Work alongside accomplished clinicians in an 815-bed, award-winning regional referral center, and gain invaluable insight into innovative peri-anesthesia practices, cutting-edge technologies, and strong interdisciplinary teamwork. Youll develop advanced skills in ventilator monitoring, as well as trauma and pediatric post-anesthesia care, setting your resume apart for future roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- 6-week block scheduling
- 3 required call shifts per 6 weeks
- Opportunity to float within peri-anesthesia (Endoscopy, PreOp, Phase II)
Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale experience
- Trauma nursing and pediatric experience highly preferred
- Skilled in ventilator monitoring
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a busy PACU environment (1:2 ratio)
- Monitor post-operative patients, including trauma and pediatric populations
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Float within peri-anesthesia areas as needed
- Utilize Cerner for documentation
