This travel opportunity places you in a high-functioning Pre-Op Holding and Phase 2 Recovery environment, boasting new technology and supportive leadership. Expand your professional expertise as you manage diverse cases, collaborate with a talented team, and encounter a wide array of patient needsfrom urology and GYN to outpatient infusions and cath lab care. The modern Pyxis system, GE MACVU EKG, and Meditech EMR will further develop your tech proficiency.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Solid Phase 2 recovery experience (required)
- Pre-op experience or willingness to assist pre-op staff (preferred)
- Comfortable working with EKGs, Pyxis, and patient monitoring equipment
- Ability to adhere to a 30-minute response time when on-call
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in pre-op and phase 2 recovery settings
- Oversee procedures such as blood transfusions, outpatient EKGs, infusions, surgical preps, and block administration
- Monitor patient status, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize advanced equipment and EMR systems
- Uphold unit protocols and patient safety standards at all times
