Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• Proficient in post-anesthesia assessments, airway management, and monitoring vital signs
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize care
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Adaptable to rapid changes in patient acuity

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures
• Assess and manage patient airways, vital signs, and pain levels
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed
• Provide clear updates and education to patients and their families during recovery
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
• Respond swiftly to complications, such as respiratory distress or hemodynamic instability
