Serving as a Wound Care RN in Whittier, you'll contribute your expertise in a dynamic hospital setting, working closely with interdisciplinary teams and gaining hands-on experience with diverse wound care cases, including HAPI, complex wound consults, ostomy management, and Wound VAC therapy. This opportunity will enhance your clinical skills, expand your knowledge of Epic EMR, and allow you to collaborate with innovative healthcare leaders. Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 18:00)
- No on-call or floating required
- 13-week contract
Qualifications:
- RN with active CA or compact license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Wound Care certification required; Wound and Ostomy certification or WCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Strong proficiency with Epic EMR
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement specialized wound care, ostomy, and consults
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers for optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize wound VAC devices and advanced wound care modalities
- Chart effectively within Epic EMR
- Educate patients and families on wound care management
