Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • On-call duty required; must be onsite during on-call hours
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Alaska RN license (or eligibilitylicensure process typically takes about 8 weeks)
  • Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credentials from NBCRNA
  • Minimum of 23 years experience in an acute care environment
  • COVID-19 vaccine compliance (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
  • Doctorate in nursing preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer a full range of anesthesia services for surgical, emergency, and obstetric procedures
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, develop individualized anesthesia care plans, and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative phases
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Respond to emergency situations with advanced decision-making and acute clinical skills
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
