This 13-week assignment offers you the chance to advance professionally in a seven-bed Operating Room unit, working alongside seasoned healthcare providers who bring diverse approaches to patient care and leadership. Build your resume with new technical proficiencies and collaborative experience in a high-performing team, all while experiencing the unique culture of a new region.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift, 9-hour shifts
- Monday through Thursday
- 1 weekend per month
- 12 on-call shifts per week
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in the Operating Room
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a 7-bed OR environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers for optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures
- Coordinate and document all phases of the surgical experience
- Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in on-call rotations
