Your assignment will immerse you in cases such as hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPI), wound consultations, ostomy care, and wound VAC management. Surrounded by specialists in an environment focused on collaboration and education, youll deepen your clinical skills and broaden your experience managing a wide range of complex patient needs, all while utilizing the Epic EMR system.
Schedule & Hours:
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 18:00)
- No on-call or floating
- 13-week assignment
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid RN license for California or a compact state
- At least 2 years of wound care nursing experience
- Wound Care certification (mandatory); WCC or wound and ostomy certification preferred
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
Core Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive wound and ostomy assessments, develop and implement care plans
- Manage HAPI, consult on wound care cases, and provide wound VAC therapy
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound management protocols
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members
