This 13-week role in an Operating Room setting is designed for nursing professionals seeking growth through exposure to diverse patient populations, multidisciplinary teams, and a range of operating procedures. With the chance to work in a 7-bed OR unit, you'll gain hands-on experience in a setting that fosters learning and collaboration, strengthening your skills and expanding your resume for future opportunities.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift
- 9-hour shifts
- MondayThursday
- 1 weekend per month
- 12 on-call shifts each week
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- specialty experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing
- Minimum of 2 years' nursing experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to manage rotating call and weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative care, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols
- Accurately document care and serve as an effective patient advocate
- Respond promptly to emergent situations or changes in patient condition
