Join a specialized team as a Registered Nurse on the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) at a respected acute care hospital in Bishopville, SC. This contract opportunity is ideal for nurses with at least two years of clinical experience, particularly in neuro step-down and cardiac telemetry care. The role focuses on adult patients within a 24-bed unit, providing comprehensive nursing care on night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care in neuro step-down and cardiac telemetry, managing 1:4-5 patient ratios
- Perform IV starts, port and PICC line access, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
- Manage respiratory support including tracheostomy care, oxygen delivery systems, chest tubes, and ABG interpretation
- Oversee enteral feeding tube care and medication administration including PCA and sedation protocols
- Monitor cardiovascular status post-MI, manage dysrhythmias, and utilize telemetry effectively
- Participate in wound care, isolation protocols, and rapid response interventions
- Float to other qualified units as needed, adhering to competency requirements
- Utilize EPIC for patient charting (minimum 1 year experience required)
Qualifications
- Active nursing license in SC or multistate license required
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS mandatory
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in relevant specialties
- Experience with neuro step-down, cardiac telemetry, and critical care skills as outlined
Schedule
- Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Weekend shift every other weekend
- Must accommodate scheduling requests including block and special schedules, subject to approval
- Call-off policy permits one call-off per two weeks
