Job Description

Join a dynamic surgical team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at a reputable healthcare facility in Westfield, MA. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the surgeon in a lead role during operations until the procedures conclusion
  • Circulating as needed to provide comprehensive perioperative assistance
  • Adhering to established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Completion of an RN First Assisting course aligned with the AORN Core Curriculum
  • Minimum of five years of diversified perioperative nursing experience with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • On-call responsibility two days per week from 5 p.m. (or end of shift) to 7 p.m.
  • Every third weekend includes a 24-hour on-call period (Saturday and Sunday)
