Advance your career in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting patients through critical moments in the operating room. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong Operating Room expertise for a contract role with a consistent weekly scheduleno on-call or weekend shifts required.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call or weekend requirement
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with surgical teams
- Competency in circulating and/or scrubbing roles preferred
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work well under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assess patient needs and respond effectively to emergencies
- Prepare the OR with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to the highest standards of infection control
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity
- Document assessments, care, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to optimize patient outcomes
