Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 11:00 AM 9:30 PM
- Call: One 12-hour call every other weekend
- Must live at least 50 miles away
This RN-Operating Room role puts you at the center of collaborative, high-level patient care, expanding your resume while you master diverse workplace cultures. Youll build lasting skills as you support surgical teams and ensure every procedure is executed with precision and care.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in DC
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Minimum 3 years of relevant OR RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- BSN strongly preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform scrubbing and circulating duties for various operative procedures
- Manage department admissions to the operating suite
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and quality/safety standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, techs, and anesthesia providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative care
- Communicate with patients, families, and the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures and optimal outcomes
- Prepare the operating room, gather surgical supplies and equipment, and verify their functionality and availability
