Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse specializing in the Operating Room to support a hospital located in Van Nuys, California. This contract position seeks a skilled RN with a minimum of two years of OR nursing experience, an active California nursing license, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques
- Monitor patients status and respond to changes during surgery
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of nursing care and surgical interventions
- Uphold hospital protocols and standards related to infection control and patient care
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with an active CA license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room nurse
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced surgical settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
