Schedule/Hours:

  • 8-hour shifts, rotating: 06:30-15:00, 09:00-17:30, 11:00-19:30
  • 40 hours per week
  • Voluntary weekend coverage and call

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
  • Valid Pennsylvania RN license
  • Minimum 2 years Operating Room nursing experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required; must maintain)
  • Proficient knowledge of perioperative practices (AORN standards)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong adaptability, problem-solving, and team collaboration
  • If needed, a comprehensive 6-month OR training course will be provided
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care for pediatric through geriatric surgical patients
  • Continuously update and document individualized care plans
  • Maintain a sterile surgical environment following aseptic techniques
  • Support patients and families through effective preoperative teaching
  • Protect patient safety and manage surgical specimens according to protocol
  • Engage with new technology, evidence-based practices, and evolving care standards
