Elevate patient care in the operating room by delivering top-tier perioperative nursing within a dynamic surgical team. This contract role offers the chance to make an immediate difference in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow RNs to ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the entire surgical journey.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active RN license
• At least 1 year of proven experience in an operating room or perioperative nursing capacity
• Proficient knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control standards
• Familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures and instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members during procedures
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after surgery
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments in alignment with surgical protocols
• Support physicians and surgeons during procedures by promptly supplying instruments and maintaining sterile fields
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort at every stage of the perioperative process
• Provide effective pre-op and post-op patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive surgical outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
