Schedule/Hours:
- 8-hour shifts: Staff rotate through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, 1100-1930
- 40 hours per week
- Voluntary weekend coverage and call
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program (BSN preferred)
- Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of prior Operating Room experience
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications, current and maintained every two years
- Strong teamwork, communication, and liaison skills
- Poised and adaptable demeanor with patients, families, and colleagues
- Solid knowledge of perioperative nursing (AORN standards)
- Willingness to participate in a 6-month in-house OR course if needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing patient assessment and develop plans of care in pre-op, intra-op, and post-op settings
- Adapt care plans to address evolving patient needs and surgical interventions
- Maintain sterile fields and surgical equipment readiness according to aseptic principles
- Apply perioperative nursing and surgical safety standards
- Communicate patient information and provide preoperative education to patients and families
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in perioperative nursing, technology, equipment, and best practices
