Job Description

A critical opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with operating room expertise to support surgical care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position is designed for an experienced RN skilled in Level 1 or 2 trauma care, with proficiency in both scrub and OR circulator roles. The assignment involves collaborating with vascular surgeons in both traditional OR and hybrid imaging suites, assisting in endovascular and open procedures using advanced technology, including robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for diverse age groups.
  • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and comfort.
  • Maintain professional accountability and confidentiality in line with nursing standards and hospital mission.
  • Provide support in vascular and interventional cases, including conscious sedation.
  • Function as an integral member of the surgical team, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
  • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or 2 trauma experience, preferably within a teaching hospital setting.
  • At least 1 year of interventional vascular experience with competency in conscious sedation.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Demonstrated expertise in human relations and communication, with a strong clinical skill set.
  • Flexibility to float within the department as needed.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift, 4x10 schedule from 06:30 to 17:00.
  • Weekend and call duties as required, averaging less than one call every two weeks.
