Job Description
Deliver specialized patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, supporting surgical teams and ensuring safety and efficiency during procedures. This contract position offers day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with weekend, on-call, and floating responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA required
- Knowledge and skills appropriate for patient population served
- Strong communication skills tailored to patients developmental ages
- Ability to work under stress in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement patient care aligned with unit standards and patient age group
- Support surgical teams in the Operating Room to maintain quality and safety
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and staff
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including bloodborne pathogen precautions
- Handle physical demands including patient positioning, equipment handling, and extended periods of standing and walking
Work Environment:
- Clean, well-lit, ventilated, and smoke-free
- Exposure to infectious diseases and diagnostic x-rays
- Flexibility for schedule changes and emergency situations
