Schedule:
- 6:30 AM 3:00 PM shifts
- Full-time assignment
- On-call required: one weekend per month (approximately 7 days per month)
In this role, youll independently provide exceptional operating room care, demonstrating situational awareness and clinical judgment while actively participating in both routine and complex case management. Your expertise will help guide the team through assignments and delegation to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also address psychological, emotional, and social needs holistically while supporting patients and families during the perioperative journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based perioperative nursing care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments per best practice protocols; monitor patient response.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided.
- Provide education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Identify issues, connect with resources, and promote a safe care environment.
- Contribute to leadership initiatives in alignment with professional nursing standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least 1 year of operating room RN experience strongly preferred
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state
- BLS (AHA) certification required
