Experienced Registered Nurses with Operating Room expertise are needed for a contract assignment within a dynamic surgical department. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates unwavering commitment to patient care and safety throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications:

• Valid, unencumbered RN license
• Proven experience in an Operating Room setting
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS preferred
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operative procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Assist surgeons and scrub personnel, anticipating needs throughout surgical procedures
• Monitor and document patient status, responding rapidly to changes in condition
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control policies, sterile field requirements, and safety protocols
• Prepare medications, equipment, and surgical instruments before procedures
• Accurately record all relevant details in patient records and perioperative documentation
• Support patients and families with information, reassurance, and education
