Schedule/Hours:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Day shifts: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call expectations, except for voluntary call at the Main campus; occasional extended hours if surgical cases require

Key Responsibilities:

• Practice independently, providing both routine and complex pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
• Utilize the nursing processassessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluationfor surgical patients
• Address psychological, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and their families
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and efficacy
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers as needed, identifying learning needs and available resources
• Float to Main campus OR as necessary to meet staffing needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current New Mexico RN license, or eligibility via a Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be from AHA)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• At least one year of OR nursing experience highly desirable
