Role Overview: This position offers dynamic exposure to progressive workplace practices and the latest surgical care methods in a leading perioperative environment. By collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues and leadership, youll foster professional growth and add valuable experience to your nursing portfolio.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week (3:00 PM 3:00 AM)
  • Rotating weekends: up to 2 per 4-week schedule
  • Occasional floating to assist other units as needed

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from the AHA
  • TNCC or ATCN required; CPI or equivalent preferred
  • Recent operating room experience highly desired
  • Proficient communication and team coordination skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and prioritize care based on patient needs
  • Implement and modify individualized care plans, documenting interventions and outcomes
  • Provide health education, discharge planning, and ensure safe, compassionate patient care
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues and patients, fostering a supportive environment
  • Contribute to unit development, onboarding of new staff, and continuous quality improvement
