Role Overview: This position offers dynamic exposure to progressive workplace practices and the latest surgical care methods in a leading perioperative environment. By collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues and leadership, youll foster professional growth and add valuable experience to your nursing portfolio.
Schedule/Hours:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (3:00 PM 3:00 AM)
- Rotating weekends: up to 2 per 4-week schedule
- Occasional floating to assist other units as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Active New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from the AHA
- TNCC or ATCN required; CPI or equivalent preferred
- Recent operating room experience highly desired
- Proficient communication and team coordination skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and prioritize care based on patient needs
- Implement and modify individualized care plans, documenting interventions and outcomes
- Provide health education, discharge planning, and ensure safe, compassionate patient care
- Serve as a resource to colleagues and patients, fostering a supportive environment
- Contribute to unit development, onboarding of new staff, and continuous quality improvement
