Schedule/Hours:
- Two 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (associates degree or higher)
- At least 1 year of recent OR experience required
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
- Comfortable caring for adult patients, with familiarity in managing CAD, AS, MR cases
- Proficiency with EPIC and Omnicell systems
- Willingness to float to other units if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective perioperative care to adult patients in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 2-bed unit
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation using EPIC
- Safeguard medication management protocols with Omnicell
- Respond flexibly to shifting census and on-call responsibilities as assigned
