Step into the fast-paced environment of an Operating Room as a Registered Nurse, gaining valuable exposure to advanced technologies like EPIC and Omnicell, as well as a unique range of cardiac and surgical procedures including CAD, AS, and MR. Youll work alongside professionals with diverse leadership styles, equipping yourself with fresh approaches and skillsets that will bolster your resume long after the assignment ends.
Schedule/Hours:
- Two 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
Key Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in OR (Operating Room) nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates degree or higher)
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Willingness to float if census is low
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
- Utilize EPIC documentation and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
- Assist with surgical procedures, pre- and post-operative care
- Perform as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with providers, surgeons, and support staff
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage as scheduled
