Providing advanced care in a dynamic Operating Room setting, this role requires a skilled Registered Nurse with trauma experience to support a Level 1 Trauma Center. The assignment is a travel position based in the Springfield, MO area, offering an opportunity to work nights in a renowned hospital known for excellence in trauma and cardiovascular care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients ranging from outpatient to critical care inpatient.
- Coordinate care with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes.
- Use professional clinical judgment consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.
- Serve as a scrub nurse and OR circulator supporting complex surgeries including robotic procedures using DaVinci technology.
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in night shift orientation scheduled on day shift.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma settings, preferably in a teaching hospital.
- Proven skills as both scrub nurse and OR circulator.
- Ability to float as required.
Work Schedule:
- Night shifts, four 10-hour shifts per week, scheduled between 7 PM and 7 AM.
- Approximately 36 guaranteed weekly hours.
- Weekend and call duties as required by facility.
