This assignment provides a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with leadership capabilities who is ready to take on Charge responsibilities. Schedule/Hours:
- 2230-0700, Monday through Friday
- Coverage only until Saturday at 0700
- Enjoy weekends and most holidays off to explore Rockfords gardens, museums, and local events
Your Role Will Include:
- Leading the OR team as Charge Nurse, ensuring smooth operations and patient safety
- Overseeing advanced surgical procedures, particularly robotic and neuro cases
- Facilitating communication between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff
- Maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention standards and regulatory policies
- Providing mentorship and support to your nursing colleagues
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- Significant recent experience in a high-acuity OR setting
- Robust skill set in both robotics and neuro procedures is essential
- Previous Charge experience preferred; willingness to receive specialized training
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership abilities
