Professionally, you'll work with a dynamic surgical team at a high-acuity hospital recognized for innovation and outstanding patient care. You'll gain invaluable experience at a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and a Primary Stroke Center, engaging with a diverse patient population from outpatient to critical care. Exposure to advanced technology and various surgical specialties will expand your clinical skill set and enhance your resumevital for career advancement.
Schedule/Hours
- Days: Friday Sunday, 3x12 hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- Weekend and call rotation as scheduled
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid RN license (Missouri or compact state eligible)
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or 2 Trauma (or teaching hospital) experience
- Experience as OR Scrub and Circulator
- At least 1 year interventional vascular experience; competent in conscious sedation
- Ability to float as needed
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter
Preferred Experience
- Multiple years in Level 1 trauma
- Extensive experience with both endovascular and open surgical cases
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for all age groupsassessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Assist vascular and hybrid OR cases; use DaVinci robot and other advanced technologies
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality
- Maintain professional accountability and compliance with standards of practice
