Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • Shift: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • On call: 1-2 days per week, 2 weekends per month

Qualifications:

  • Must reside at least 100 miles from Quemado, TX
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse license valid within Texas
  • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrub and/or circulate during operative procedures
  • Participate in department admissions to the operative suite
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to all standards
  • Coordinate with surgical teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care
  • Communicate directly with patients, families, and the surgical team
  • Prepare and stock the operating room, ensuring all equipment is functional
