Schedule & Hours
- 8-hour shifts, rotation through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930
- Voluntary weekend coverage and call
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- BLS and ACLS certification (must meet AHA standards)
- Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities
- Knowledge of AORN standards and aseptic technique
- Commitment to ongoing learning; in-house 6-month OR course provided if needed
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care for all ages
- Develop and adapt care plans based on patient needs and surgical interventions
- Ensure proper supplies, equipment readiness, and maintenance of a sterile environment
- Respond appropriately to physiological changes during surgical procedures
- Provide preoperative education and support to patients and families
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competency in perioperative nursing trends and technology
