Schedule & Hours

  • 8-hour shifts, rotation through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930
  • Voluntary weekend coverage and call
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • BLS and ACLS certification (must meet AHA standards)
  • Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of AORN standards and aseptic technique
  • Commitment to ongoing learning; in-house 6-month OR course provided if needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care for all ages
  • Develop and adapt care plans based on patient needs and surgical interventions
  • Ensure proper supplies, equipment readiness, and maintenance of a sterile environment
  • Respond appropriately to physiological changes during surgical procedures
  • Provide preoperative education and support to patients and families
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competency in perioperative nursing trends and technology
