This opportunity is designed for experienced Operating Room RNs with a specialized focus on liver and transplant surgeries. The role requires proven expertise in complex transplant procedures, including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants. Candidates must be proficient in Misonix/CUSA technology and skilled in organ implantation, not only harvesting. This position demands a high level of clinical competence and adherence to strict protocol standards.

Location:
Situated in Pompano Beach, FL, this role offers the chance to work in a well-regarded teaching hospital with 230 staffed beds. The hospital operates as a short-term acute care facility with a smoke-free environment. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience
  • Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA surgical devices
  • Strong transplant experience involving liver, heart, lung, and kidney procedures
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required at the time of application
  • NIHSS certification to be obtained prior to start
  • Experience in implanting organs, not just harvesting
  • Ability to comply with nicotine-free policy and pass a 10-panel drug screen

Schedule:

  • Day shifts: 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM 11:30 PM)
  • On-call: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist during complex transplant surgeries
  • Utilize advanced surgical technology (Misonix/CUSA)
  • Respond efficiently to on-call assignments and adapt to float within the scope when required
  • Prioritize time-sensitive modules necessary for role confirmation

This contract position guarantees 36 hours per week for three 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for an 8/10 schedule. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. Early submission should include all requested time-off restrictions for approval.
