Operating Room Registered Nurse Transplant Specialty | Pompano Beach, FL
This contract opportunity seeks an experienced Operating Room RN with strong expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants. Working in a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment, you will play a critical role in complex transplant surgeries, including actual organ implantationnot just harvestingand utilize specialized equipment such as Misonix/CUSA.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the surgical team during transplant procedures, particularly liver transplants
- Manage intraoperative care utilizing advanced technology and protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, sterile techniques, and hospital policies at all times
- Participate in on-call rotations: one shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts monthly
- Flexibly float within your scope to meet unit needs when necessary
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience as an OR RN specializing in liver and multi-organ transplants
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Misonix/CUSA surgical equipment
- ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of application; NIHSS certification must be obtained before starting
- Nicotine-free with a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine test
- Willingness to adhere to a 4x10-hour day shift schedule, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Locals encouraged to apply; pending licenses accepted
- Must provide all requested time-off upfront in submission
