Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Operating Room RN specializing in transplant surgeries, located in Pompano Beach, FL. This contract role requires strong expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures, with hands-on experience in organ implantation as well as harvesting. Candidates must be proficient in using Misonix/CUSA technology and meet all clinical requirements before placement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of direct Liver/Transplant OR RN experience (non-negotiable)
- Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment
- Experience performing organ reimplantation in transplant patients
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at time of application), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
- Nicotine-free status verified by negative 10-panel drug screen plus cotinine test
- Ability and willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
Schedule & Hours:
- Day shift: Four 10-hour shifts, 06:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- On-call requirements: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
- Guaranteed weekly hours between 36 and 40 depending on schedule configuration
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level perioperative nursing care to transplant patients in a fast-paced, teaching hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during complex transplant surgeries
- Comply with facility protocols, including urgent completion of time-sensitive training modules
- Adhere to smoke-free and drug-free facility policies rigorously
