As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, youll collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals and gain exposure to a variety of leadership styles and perioperative best practices. Schedule/Hours
- 8-hour rotating shifts: 0630-1500, 0900-1730, 1100-1930
- 40 hours per week
- Voluntary weekend coverage and call
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited registered nurse program (BSN preferred)
- At least 2 years of prior Operating Room experience
- Licensed as an RN in Pennsylvania
- BLS and ACLS certification (must be current per AHA guidelines)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to function effectively as a team member
- Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards (AORN)
- Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and sensitivity when supporting patients and families
- In-house six-month OR course provided for candidates without previous experiencemust begin upon hire
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Develop and update individualized plans of care throughout the perioperative process
- Maintain a sterile field; ensure equipment functionality and readiness
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and co-workers
- Participate in ongoing education, skills training, and competency maintenance
