Schedule/Hours:
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Day shift: 6:30AM 3:00PM
- No mandatory weekend or on-call requirements, but voluntary call opportunities are available
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care in the operating room setting, applying the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Independently manage both routine and complex perioperative care, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Accurately administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols, monitoring effectiveness and side effects
- Diligently document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Deliver compassionate education to patients and families, identifying individual needs and available resources
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, delegating appropriately to ensure seamless care delivery
- Commit to floating between primary and main campus OR locations as staffing needs arise
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- RN license valid in New Mexico or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- A minimum of one year of operating room or related nursing experience preferred
