Schedule:
- 3 Days, 12-Hour Shifts (3PM 3AM)
- Rotating weekend shiftsup to 2 per 4-week period
- Floating to assist other units as needed
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, youll coordinate and implement age-appropriate patient care in a safe, efficient environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document initial and ongoing patient assessments, setting care priorities based on symptoms and psychosocial status
- Develop and update individualized plans of care, collaborating in patient education and discharge planning
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing interventions, performing Point of Care testing as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers to foster trust and positive outcomes
- Delegate and coordinate assignments, supporting the orientation of new staff and contributing to ongoing unit development
- Maintain compliance with all safety, HR, and facility policies
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA (PALS or ENPC accepted)
- TNCC or ATCN required; CPI or equivalent preferred
- Effective communication skills and commitment to professional conduct
- Flexible, positive attitude and willingness to float to other units
